Established in 1997, Cafe Josie strives to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. We focus on using locally sourced ingredients to create innovative and playful dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Cody Taylor

General Manager/Owner

Cody started his restaurant career at the age of 13 bussing tables at a local restaurant in his hometown of Goliad, TX. Upon moving to College Station he continued his experience working at numerous restaurants, notably Cafe Eccell, where he found his passion in the business. For the past 7 years Cody has been greeting guests at Cafe Josie where he strives to provide a remarkably genuine and memorable dining experience with great service and an imaginative and informative wine program.

Brandon Fuller

Executive Chef/Owner

Brandon fell in love with food at a young age, often traveling to the farmer’s market with his mother and exploring international cuisines with his father. He began his culinary career in College Station, meeting Cody at Cafe Eccell. After moving to Austin to attend culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu, Brandon has had the opportunity to work in some of Austin’s most well regarded restaurants including Olive & June, Wink, Parkside, and Uchi. At Cafe Josie he will draw upon his experience with local and sustainable ingredients to create fresh and exciting dishes.

Charles Mayes

Founder

Chef Charles Mayes, a native Austinite has been at the forefront of the Austin food scene since 1975. He was the founder of Mother’s Cafe, Manana Grill, Treaty Oak Cafe, where Corazon at Castle Hill is currently located, and was the Executive Chef at Gilligans. In 1997, He created Cafe Josie, named for his daughter Josephine.
